Congratulations to Cosmo (now Kermie) and Jen!

6-week-old Cosmo was a stray with a traumatic hindlimb amputation. We don’t know what or when it happened, but a Good Samaritan brought him to Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) and a plea was sent out to their New Hope Partners (groups approved to pull cases needing medical attention) for Cosmo. What was left of the limb was severely infected and time was running out to save Cosmo’s life. Arrangements were made at Animal Surgical Center for the surgery and ACC sent out a plea to their volunteers to find someone to pick up Cosmo and take him there. Long-time Ladew supporter and all-around animal lover, David Glicksman responded and volunteered to help him. Cosmo had his surgery that same day and by the next day was an expert on three legs. David once again volunteered to pick him up from the hospital and bring him to us for recovery. This little guy spreads pure love wherever he goes! NYC Urgent Cats

Jen fell in love with him and waited for him to be ready to go home and this morning, the 13th of June 2023, Cosmo (now Kermit), is waking up in his forever home. Thank you so much for all who shared his story and donated! #
