Mookie is approximately 8 years old.  She was declawed by her previous owner and dumped at Animal Care and Control.  In Mookie's paperwork, her owner stated that she began to bite after she was declawed. 

At the same time, the kids of P.S. 119 Amersfort School in Brooklyn were working on projects geared towards educating people about the realities of declawing.  For their hard work, The Paw Project asked the kids what they would like in return.  The kids wanted to save a declawed cat from a city shelter.  Mookie was that cat. 

She was rescued by The Paw Project just hours before she was slated to be euthanized and then transferred to us.

Mookie is a LOVEBUG.  Extremely affectionate, but, as is common with declawed cats, she tends to bite, but it is mostly love bites.  We think she would do best with an experienced owner and no kids.
