From the streets of Rockaway to a forever home filled with love… sweet Bebe’s journey has come full circle

After her owner sadly passed away, Bebe was put outside—left to fend for herself alongside three of her feline companions. Thankfully, a caring neighbor stepped in and brought them all to Animal Care Centers, and soon after, they made their way to us.

Bebe took her time.

The shelter can be overwhelming, and for Bebe, trust didn’t come easily. She stayed a little guarded, watching the world go by and unsure of the many new faces coming in and out. Even as she settled in, she wasn’t quick to choose just anyone.

But then… she chose Liz.

One of our very own, Liz Cousins—who, along with her husband Daniel, had been quietly healing after the loss of their two beloved cats—felt that familiar pull to help another. And Bebe responded to them in a way that said everything. The connection was undeniable.

Liz and Daniel took a chance on her.

And Bebe took a chance right back.

Today, it’s official—Bebe is HOME.

From being left outside and unsure of her future, to finding comfort, patience, and love with one of the people who helped care for her along the way… Bebe’s story couldn’t be more special.
