Some of the most deserving hearts are the ones that get overlooked.

A year and a half ago, John adopted Rigatoni, now Hopper. Rigatoni had a brother, Manicotti, who was shy and kept getting passed over by adopters. When John learned that Manicotti was still waiting for a home, he came back and adopted him too. Manicotti is now Echo.

Fast forward to this year, when we took in a litter of kittens. Three of the babies had beautiful Siamese markings and were scooped up almost immediately. But little Dusty, a sweet tortie, was shyer than her siblings—and just like Echo, she kept getting overlooked.

John heard about Dusty and knew exactly what to do.

He came back and adopted her too.

Some adopters choose the cat who runs right up to them. John chooses the ones who need someone to look a little closer.
