Josie’s story has had a few twists, but every step has shown just how special she is.

Josie first came to us after being rescued from a hoarding home. Her coat was so severely matted it had to be carefully shaved away, but through it all she never stopped being the gentle, loving girl we quickly fell in love with.

She was adopted into a wonderful home, but heartbreakingly her owner’s declining health forced him to return his beloved cats to us. It was clear how loved Josie had been — and how much she loved right back.

Enter Peter.

Peter has been part of our Ladew family for years and is already the proud dad of Prince, his second cat through our Seniors for Seniors program. Recently he felt that Prince might enjoy having a friend… and when he met Josie, it was love at first sight.

Now Josie is back where she belongs — in a warm home, with a loving dad and a new feline buddy by her side.

From a hoarding house to heartbreak to a beautiful new beginning… Josie’s golden years are looking brighter than ever.
