Our sweet senior girl has finally found the forever home she deserves!

Phoebe has endured more heartbreak than any cat should. After her original owner passed away, she was adopted by a family member who later had to move into assisted living. That family member’s son then welcomed Phoebe into his home, but tragically, he passed away suddenly from a brain aneurysm. His brother, who is highly allergic to cats, made the difficult decision to bring Phoebe

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) where she was transferred to us.

When Phoebe arrived, we immediately noticed that her left ear was severely thickened and infected. Once the infection was under control, Dr. Susan discovered the real problem during Phoebe’s dental procedure—a large mass deep inside her ear. While it appeared to be a benign polyp, we needed a CT scan to determine whether it originated in the ear canal or the bulla, the structures at the base of the skull, which would have required a much more involved surgery.

Thanks to the wonderful team at Animal Surgical Center, the CT showed the growth was confined to the ear canal, and it was successfully removed. After likely suffering with chronic ear infections for years, Phoebe is finally comfortable again.

And now comes the best part…

Phoebe has been adopted through our Seniors for Seniors program! She can leave her difficult past behind and begin this new chapter surrounded by love, comfort, and the family she has always deserved.
