Named in honor of our donor’s beloved cat named Sweetie, Sweetie’s Spay (and neuter) Squad now offers free spay/neuter services via vouchers through participating veterinarians, to our TNR community in Nassau and Suffolk Counties ONLY. Each voucher will pay for one spay/neuter for FERAL CATS ONLY, mandatory ear tip and vaccines at hospitals listed in Long Island. The program is donation based and may be discontinued at any time if funds do not allow. Vouchers that have already been sent out will be honored if that scenario does arise. Please fill out the application below for vouchers.

Our participating veterinarians are: Helping Paw (East Meadow), Island Rescue (Bay Shore), All About Cats (Freeport), Integrated Veterinary Therapies (Ridge) and Fixing Felines (mobile). Up to 5 vouchers are allowed per client.

Ladew Foundation, Inc., nor the veterinarian performing surgery, or any of their agents, volunteers or employees shall be at any time or to any extent whatsoever liable, responsible or in any way accountable for any adverse reactions that may occur as a result of this procedure.

I agree to pick up the cat after surgery and arrange for appropriate post-operative care. Males can be released the day after surgery. Females should be held at least 48 hours after surgery. I assume full responsibility for the care, feeding and protection of this feral cat for the duration of its life. I understand that the cat MUST BE RETURNED TO THE SAME TRAPPING SITE. If the feral cat becomes sick or injured I will assume responsibility to provide veterinary care. Please initial that you have read and agreed to this.

Some hospitals require that cats and kittens be in traps or they may turn you away for services. When you make the appointment, please inquire about each hospital's policies.
