Seniors for Seniors strikes again on 2/2/26.

Vernie was rescued by us when she was just a kitten. She was adopted shortly after she was spayed and lived in the city with her mom and another kitty she was bonded to at the time. We recently received a call from Vernie’s mom that she was ill and couldn’t look after Vernie anymore but had no way to get Vernie back to us. We arranged for transportation to pick up Vernie (her bonded buddy passed away a few years ago) and get her checked out by our veterinarian. Vernie was diagnosed with hypertension .

Sandy was the first person to adopt through our Seniors for Seniors program when it first began in 2019 (since then over 80 cats have found second chances!) and came back for another one last year. Her first senior Ladewbie passed away recently so she came back to us and fell for Vernie.

Sandy is used to treating cats with hypertension and Vernie will always be covered through our Seniors for Seniors program for any future medical needs.

Thank you Sandy for coming back to us once again and for giving Vernie her second chance
